Hired Goods/Decor Pieces Policy

Please note, all goods supplied under hire are on a hire basis only and ownership remains with Event By Jumai. The Hirer (the person named on the invoice) takes responsibility for the hire goods shall be solely responsible for the hired goods, not the venue/hotel/florist/delivery man or any other third party to whom shall take possession of the Hire Goods. The Hirer shall be responsible for any incidents/damages caused to the goods once in their possession. They are responsible for ensuring the Hired Goods are kept in good order from the time of receipt of delivery until back into the possession of EBJ. Good provision of storage must be made any hired goods if you (the hirer) are leaving the venue prior to our (EBJ's) collection or your personal return delivery on the agreed date. After use, all hired items must be repackaged in the boxes in which the items were delivered, ready for collection/return on the agreed date.

The hired goods are solely intended for use and storage indoors. If equipment is used or stored outdoors the hirer is fully responsible for damage caused by the weather or any other associated hazard.

The hire period is 24 hours before event and 24 hours after the event. This can be extended at EBJ's discretion for which a charge may be applied.

Hire goods are dispatched clean, undamaged and in good condition. If goods were not returned in these conditions, all missing goods and breakages will be charged at the replacement costs to be provided by owner EBJ. Customers own goods cannot be accepted as replacements for EBJ's hired goods.

A 25% deposit will be required to secure a booking. Until the deposit is received by EBJ, no booking will be deemed to have been secured for the date/event. This deposit will be refunded in full upon the return of all hired goods in an undamaged, no parts missing condition.

The payment for the hire is payable in full 1 calendar month before the event date. If a booking is cancelled more than 1 month in advance then no money is payable to EBJ. If a booking is cancelled within 1 week to the event then the hire will receive 50% refund of the balance paid. To avoid result in lose of their payment, The hire can use their payment against a future booking if the event was postponed (rather than cancelled) within 12 months of the initial event. Bookings within 1 month must be paid in full at the time of booking.
